365 Days of Tommy P: Day 125

Tuesday, May 5, 2009 (125)

On my way to work today I was contemplating the difference between coincidence and irony. At I.V. Lab Studios the door to the utility closet, containing tools, opens inward. The closet isn’t very deep. We needed to get a key out of the closet to move a chain-locked cigarette depository stand to a different location. The dolly cart that is stored in the closet had fallen forward against the door and pinned itself between the wall and the door. The hinges on the door are on the inside of the closet. We had not choice but to break down the door. The tools to break through the door were inside the closet. Ironic.
