365 Days of Tommy P: Day 365

Thursday, December 31, 2009 (365)

TP: “You know what today is? Day three hundred sixty-five.”

Here I am at Third Coast Recording Company for our annual New Year’s bash.

And look at how quickly I fall apart.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 351

Thursday, December 17, 2009 (351)

I was up all night, and when I went to get my car to move it, it wasn’t there. I guess I hadn’t studied the parking signs as well as I thought I had. No use in getting mad or obsessing. I know that the pound charges ten dollars a day to store your car. That’s cheaper than parking in a garage downtown, so I didn’t do anything about it. I went back to the studio and continued to work, on no sleep. Check out the bags developing under my eyes. Miz.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 350

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 (350)

I drove down to the studio tonight to edit a project. The street I parked on had at least four different parking restriction signs. I was planning on working all through the night and moving my car before the restrictions kicked in the following morning.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 348

Monday, December 14, 2009 (348)

The celebration night at Rehab for wining “Best Party in America” at Paper Magazine’s Night Life Awards. I can’t remember Rehab being packed at Debonair. And I hear a record number off cocktail glasses dropping and shattering.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 317

Friday, November 13, 2009 (317)

I started the evening out by producing/directing a promotional video for Violet Winter. Jeremy and I set up the JVC and EX3 and three lights in front of the white vinyl backdrop in the live room at Third Coast Recording Company. I spent the next couple of hours interviewing and grilling Oscar under the hot interrogating lights. I’ll be cutting it and uploading it soon.

We wrapped production at 1 A.M. and Oscar and I headed to Liar’s Club for Front 312 and met up with Eva and Lazer Dan.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 305

Sunday, November 1, 2009 (305)

I woke up with my tie, vest, and coat still on – with no sign of my shirt. Typical.

I really don’t have anything to say. Pictured with Eric Stang.

I tackled Loony into this fence when we were reunited for the first time in a year on July 1st. One can clearly tell from the 45-degree angle of the pole that I was fairly enthused to see her.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 274

Thursday, October 1, 2009 (274)

Nothing like smuggling beer and pizza into the cineplex.

Getting ready at Third Coast Recording Company for the Kill Hannah after show / pajama slumber party / pillow fight / listening party at Disappear Here in the basement of Angels & Kings.

I know her boyfriend, so she asked me to help her get rid of some guy who was hitting on her.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 272

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 (272)

This evening we had a photo shoot of Oscar for the Violet Winter press release at Third Coast Recording Company with Jeremy Bircher shooting. Then as usual when we ended up taking group photos.

I framed this shot above and set the timer as Jeremy, Oscar, and I reviewed a few shots of Oscar for the release. The photo below was taken by Jeremy and directed by Oscar.

Oscar: "Tommy P, I want you in the back, looking off that way not paying attention, and looking vain as fuck."

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 270

Sunday, September 27, 2009 (270)

Today we had another meeting for Violet Winter’s “Abuse Me” music video with the video producer, director, and art director. They and Oscar all met at Third Coast Recording Company and I joined via video link-up. I was “in L.A.”

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 269

Saturday, September 26, 2009 (269)

Tonight Third Coast Recording Company switched its music studio hat to its film studio hat as Oxygen8 Productions.

We shoot music videos, documentaries, commercials, events, parties, etc.

Jeremy, Oscar, and I shot a Sweet 16 party at Excalibur.

Tommy P: “For a blonde white girl, Shristi was not the name I would I have guess for her.”
Jeremy: “Damn it Tom! Who were you filming?!”
Got him good.

Afterward we filmed a band performing at the Abbey Pub.

I ran into this young lady on my way to the DJ booth. She stepped in front of me and looked into my eyes, took my glasses and struck a pose. A took this photo and she promptly returned my shades to their hanging position off of my necklaces. Before we parted she made a lasting impression by twisting my nipples, smiling, and turning away. No words were spoken between either of us. That’s a woman.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 257

Monday, September 14, 2009 (257)

I was eating pain killers like candy and I got myself down to the studio.

With my new found pill habit I decided it was only appropriate to go to Rehab.

“They callin’ me.”

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 253

Thursday, September 10, 2009 (253)

Heading to one of my spots.

Sometimes I’ll just go up to the roof of Third Coast and look at the city, wishing I could see the stars like I can in Michigan, and clear my mind.

To quote my friend Cab, “Milk is good.”
