365 Days of Tommy P: Day 181
Tuesday, June 30, 2009 (181)
Other nights I’ll just play guitar . . . and use my thoughts as the lyrical content for melodramatic dirges of my soul.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 179
Sunday, June 28, 2009 (179)
This is what I look like two days after the burn, damn you Banana Boat. And of course my back is extremely pale, (who’s going to see it anyway).

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 178
Saturday, June 27, 2009 (178)
My sunburn pain started to set in today. I got an incredibly small amount of sleep on account of it.
This photo with Dogle was a joke, but later on he and his older brother, Bogle, got into an actual fight. I saw two figures rolling around on the ground and naturally I thought that it was two people making out, (they were close enough to notice but far enough to just barely make out their silhouettes). When I saw fists flying back and forth I carefully sat my drink down and rushed over. It took a few minutes but I separated the two of them, not without paying a price. I had few marks on my face from them, and then their collective blood covering my entire right arm, the right side of my face, and splattered all over one of my favorite t-shirts. – Oh yeah, and my sun burn stung for the rest of the night from wrestling the two of them, causing me to lie on my back in bed for well over two hours before I finally fell asleep, despite the agonizing pain.
“I’m having a party tonight. You should stop by. There’s gonna be a little drinkin, a little fightin, a little fornicatin.”
“Sounds like fun. When should I get there?”
“Show up whenever. It’s just gonna be the two of us.”

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 177
Friday, June 26, 2009 (177)
Assessing the bonfire during a momentary break from the VIP [Gazebo] Lounge.
Today I woke up at 6:30 on a couch in Lincoln Park and got picked up for a ride to Michigan with Timmy C and Bogle. We went directly to the sand dunes to volunteer with a children’s activity group and played capture the flag with some impressionable youths. Five minutes into the game I made a kid from the other team switch colored bracelets with me. He narc’d on me and I got disqualified for cheating.
At 1 P.M we inflated a raft we call “Tortuga.” It has five seats, two built in coolers, and enough room for four people to lie down comfortably. Three hours, six beers, and one crappy bottle of sunscreen later I wound up redder than a maraschino cherry.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 167
Tuesday, June 16, 2009 (167)
One of the most productive days of recording progress for Violet Winter at Third Coast Recording Company. I left the mixing board and hopped in the vocal booth to lay down some back-up vocals on a track by the name of “Break.” I also lent my voice to the bridge of the lead-off single, “Abuse Me,” via my microKORG vocoder.
Here I am on my way to the studio in the pouring rain.
