TP: “You know what today is? Day three hundred sixty-five.”

Here I am at Third Coast Recording Company for our annual New Year’s bash.

And look at how quickly I fall apart.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 361

Sunday, December 27, 2009 (361)

I'm sad.

Improperly using sleds in the sand dunes. When I started to take my jacket off my friends knew what was coming. I did a run on my stomach with my mouth open and ate a ton of snow.

And now I'm happy, and freezing.

Longest sled ever.

Sunset Wheat

Winter Reunion night one. The host cottage didn’t have its water turned on, and the toilet paper dispenser in the “ladies room” amused me.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 359

Friday, December 25, 2009 (359)

Rockin my new shirt and tie as my brother and I watch Eurotrip on my computer. If that doesn’t say Christmas, then . . . I got nothing.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 354

Sunday, December 20, 2009 (354)

Today I had my first of four family Christmas parties of the week. I showed up two hours late, ate, drank, and promptly made an inconspicuous exit.

Some times when I stay up too late my throat begins to get very soar. I think this was around 4 A.M. I was just up working on little things here and there and probably had Sorcerer’s Stone on in the background.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 353

Saturday, December 19, 2009 (353)

"Awesome. Awesome to the max." These were posted all over the Metro the night of Kill Hannah's New Heart For Xmas 7.

Here is Mat Devine performing “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” during New Heart For Xmas 7 at Metro dressed as a Nutcracker.

(Video coming shortly).

Spending a little time at Bobby and Dylan’s place before heading home. I’m enjoying some chocolate syrup as Cease The Day enjoys making a ridiculous face. Bobby brought out a sack of oranges to illustrate a point Timmy C was making. Tim informed us that when babysitting, if a child gets out of line, he likes to beat them with a sack of oranges because it doesn’t leave bruises.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 352

Friday, December 18, 2009 (352)

Looking for my car in the impound lot at Lower Wacker. Still haven’t slept since Wednesday.

Catching up with Garret back stage at Reggie’s after Kill Hannah’s concert. He recorded three songs for my old band, No Fate, in his basement’s studio in late 2003. No Fate’s “For You,” “No Return,” and “Another Wall.”

Kill Hannah performed all of their album American Jet Set in its entirety, celebrating its ten year release anniversary. The band gave out a special reprint of American Jet Set which has been out of print for years, and typically goes for well over $100 on eBay.

Photos from my ten-year grade school reunion:

After closing two bars we went to a classmate’s parents house and continued the party in his basement. I was in the last car to arrive and we didn’t have anyone’s cell number who was inside. I walked around the outside of the house and slithered my way into the basement via an open window. Quite an entrance.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 351

Thursday, December 17, 2009 (351)

I was up all night, and when I went to get my car to move it, it wasn’t there. I guess I hadn’t studied the parking signs as well as I thought I had. No use in getting mad or obsessing. I know that the pound charges ten dollars a day to store your car. That’s cheaper than parking in a garage downtown, so I didn’t do anything about it. I went back to the studio and continued to work, on no sleep. Check out the bags developing under my eyes. Miz.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 350

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 (350)

I drove down to the studio tonight to edit a project. The street I parked on had at least four different parking restriction signs. I was planning on working all through the night and moving my car before the restrictions kicked in the following morning.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 349

Tuesday, December 15, 2009 (349)

I went to the post office to mail out a batch of the Violet Winter press kits. The woman standing in front of me in line saw all of the packages and laughed. The gentleman who walked in just behind in line saw the large amount and groaned in frustration. It took 25 minutes to weigh and stamp them all. The receipt is pretty much the entire length of my wingspan.

I came up with this two years ago as a cover concept for my friends in Calgary.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 348

Monday, December 14, 2009 (348)

The celebration night at Rehab for wining “Best Party in America” at Paper Magazine’s Night Life Awards. I can’t remember Rehab being packed at Debonair. And I hear a record number off cocktail glasses dropping and shattering.

(You might recognize that date. It’s my birthday. Don’t get me anything. Just buy the album. (And get my something if you really want)).

Who doesn’t like Morehead?

Shana gave me a free demonstration of what she does at work. Afterward my back was all red . . . and a little bloody. "Some people pay for that." (I don't think I'll be posting the photos from that).

The camera loves you baby!

Sacrificing another night out for the sake of recovery and Violet Winter business.

. . . look at my eyes . . .

The Disappear Here crew through together a very cool promotional tool. You can go to iDisappeared.com and make your own flier. I took a few liberties with editing the flier. Photo by Glitter Guts from Day 267.

365 Days of Tommy P: Day 341

Monday, December 7, 2009 (341)

Getting ready for an unforgettable/unrememberable night.

My fuel for Violet Winter’s first rehearsal (not full, only four fifths present, The International Stang Bang was missing).

I borrowed The International Stang Bang’s bass for rehearsal. In less than one hour I formed a new blister on my thumb and it burst while mid-song and I bled all over the pick guard.

Twice in a row no one will jump in the photo booth with me. Fuck you guys.

The purple rose – this is what we will be throwing off stage to the females we want to join us back stage.

Mr. Derek Berry getting crazy on his birthday for Rehab’s 100th party!
